formula uno

Okay. All my thoughts about formula 1 would be a lot to write down. So I'm gonna make it short:

  • Fav teams: Ferrari, Aston Martin and McLaren (I hate McLaren)
  • Fav drivers: Sebastian Vettel, Logan Sargeant, Fernando Alonso
  • Fav tracks: Zandvoort, Suzuka, Spa
  • Fan since: March 2024
I watch MotoGP to get away from the stress that F1 causes me. I watch Superbike to get away from the stress that MotoGP causes me. There's no way to get away from Superbike stress (Andrea Iannone I love you dearly).

Lewis Wins for Ferrari!

God the entire Barcelona GP was insane to watch as a ferrari fan. I was sooo heartbroken when Alonso had to retire and when Leclerc had to stop his car. Crazy ferrari strategy for once in their lifetime, stopping sooner and more often really did it for them that day. Seeing Lewis happy with the ferrari crew warmed my heart. Russell and Antonelli's fight was also really great to watch, so sad that he had to retire his car as well. Also small question what happened to Albon that he was 11 laps behind at one point?? Williams what are you doing?? Already suuper excited for the austrian GP!

Monaco '26

If you take the first 10 laps and the last 18 laps then it was a really exciting race, but the 50 laps inbetween start and finish were (and as much as I love this sport) a chore to watch. Isack Hadjar talking about his car feeling like it would explode while George Russell was stuck behind him in that rocketship of a mercedes. It did bring me a little bit of joy tho how many drivers got a 5s penalty for speeding in the pitlane (hell what was even up with that??), and honestly I do love seeing the real safety car out and about so much tihi. Insanely happy for Lewis Hamilton, that podium felt reaally good, but it was a shame for Charles Leclerc, wdym the concrete on track broke?? All in all, good race, good results, good time watching, excited for barcelona next weekend!

The new Regs

God. I think the FIA really cooked some shit up with those. Like hooly. Whoever saw Ollie Bearman's crash during the 2026 japanese round knows what I'm talking about.
Gonna be really honest, I do like them though. I think as a fan, seeing more overtakes really makes the races more exciting and the strategic aspect is fun to think about from an outsider perspective, but I do understand the criticism.
If the drivers aren't having any fun, and if they don't ultimately make a difference anymore, then what is this shitshow even about anymore.
